OUTREACH

We work in partnership with health care providers, business associations, community-based organizations, companies and more!

CABWHP hopes to create a healthier future for Black women and girls in California.
The leadership role of CABWHP, as it pertains to engaging in outreach initiatives and collaborations, is to increase Black women’s civic engagement and advocacy potential in order to strengthen our voices.

Check out one of our latest collaborations below!
Mountainfilm + the film Caliefah directed by Shiouwen Hong
Picture
Caliefah is a single mother, home gardener, soapmaker and after attending classes for over 13 years, a recent college graduate. Fully recognizing her family heritage and community, she is the personification of pride, resourcefulness and spirit. She leverages the skills learned from her elders to provide for her community, and in return, her community supports her in unfathomable ways. Caliefah was filmed during Juneteenth 2020 in South Los Angeles at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement.

California Black Women's Health Project was selected to be this film's take action nonprofit, for the Mountainfilm Festival.

Have an upcoming event that you would like the CABWHP to provide resources and materials dealing with health & wellness?

Let us know by emailing wellwoman(at)cabwhp.org and a member of our team will contact you.
