William F. Covington, III

Will Covington, MBA is the Senior Vice President of Finance for The Children’s Institute, Inc. overseeing finance for this $100M+ educational & social services and community development entity. In addition to his current role Will has held several executive level finance and operations positions in technology, entertainment & media and not-for-profit at entities such as Fox, NBC Universal, DirecTV and Initiative Media. With over twenty (25) years of finance, business planning, strategy and operations experience, Will brings a broad depth of knowledge in developing and building business infrastructures of entrepreneurial ventures within large fortune 500 organizations and not-for-profit entities. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, Will holds a master’s in business administration and from the University of California, Los Angeles a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He currently sits on the board of CharterSAFE, a $55M a Joint Powers Authority insurance and risk management organization. In his spare time Will enjoys traveling, golf and volunteering in the community.

Dorian L. Harriston

Dorian L. Harriston is an executive marketing and communications leader with over 15 years of experience in driving local, national and global strategic healthcare and academic medicine marketing, Dorian Harriston leverages brand stories, visual media campaigns and community partnerships to drive cultural inclusion and community engagement. In her role as Director of Academic and Community Marketing at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, Harriston crafts national reputation marketing and communications strategy for Research and Education, Community Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion and Health Equity. Her career span includes communication and marketing positions in radio, the hospitality industry and nonprofit management. Harriston launched her healthcare journey with Ohio KePRO, Inc., designing community health education programming and culturally competent Medicare collateral for the state of Ohio. Her career in academic medicine began with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, successfully leading her from Ohio to Los Angeles and her current role with Cedars-Sinai. To add to her accomplished leadership, Harriston won the “Best in Show” and Gold awards from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Institutional Advancement for Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for her work on combatting vaccine hesitancy in communities of color, coined “Doses of Hope.

Rochelle McLaurin
|
Rochelle McLaurin is the Director of Contracts and Grants Management at Heluna Health where she was honored during National Women’s History Month 2021 for her achievements and enormous contributions made towards improving the health of entire communities. Ms. McLaurin has worked as a leader in the public and private sector. She has led the way in designing, developing and teaching various contract and grant policies and procedures. Ms. McLaurin obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Redlands, School of Business. Ms. McLaurin has nearly 20 years of experience in contract and grant management. Early in her career Ms. McLaurin devoted time and resources into working with small community based non-profit organizations that led the way for her to become known as a change agent, leader and professional throughout her career. Ms. McLaurin is a 2018 graduate of the Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Program, an organizational partner of the USC Marshall School of Business. A 2021 Alumni of the African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI), Board Leadership Program. An active member of the National Black MBA Association, Inc.-Los Angeles Chapter and a member of the National Grants Management Association (NGMA), and serves as the Chair of the Southern California Chapter.

Tyan Parker Dominguez, MSW, MPH, Ph.D

Tyan Parker Dominguez, PhD, MPH, MSW is a Teaching Professor in the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. Her research focuses on racial disparities in adverse birth outcomes and infant mortality, with an emphasis on psychosocial determinants of health, such as stress and racism. Dr. Parker Dominguez has been a member of the U.S. Secretary of Health’s Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality and has partnered with public health departments and organizations, such as March of Dimes, on initiatives related to health equity and birth outcome disparities. She also serves as an expert advisor and collaborator with the Center for Health Equity at the University of California, San Francisco, and co-chairs the Improving Pregnancy Outcomes Committee of the American Public Health Association’s Maternal and Child Health section (APHA-MCH). Dr. Parker Dominguez has been honored with the MCH Section’s Young Professional of the Year Award, the Hutto Patterson Foundation Distinguished Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching and Service, and is a co-recipient of the Council on Social Work Education’s Community Impact Award.

Gloria Morrow, Ph.D

Dr. Gloria Morrow, the CEO of GM Psychological Services and Director of Behavioral Health for Unicare Community Health Center, is one of the nation's leading clinical psychologists. Dr. Gloria also serves as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant and a Lead Trainer for the CBMCS (California Brief Multicultural Competency Scale) Training Program, which focuses on a training curriculum she helped to develop. Dr. Gloria also facilitates a wide range of trainings relevant to cultural humility and cultural competency. She serves as a consultant for The King Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where Dr. Bernice King serves as the CEO. Dr. Gloria’s work surrounding the role of Spirituality in recovery has gained notoriety with the development of a three-day training and handbook entitled S.A.F.E. (Spirituality and Faith Empowers) to equip the faith community and mental health professionals to help hurting people. She is also known for her extensive leadership and team building trainings. Dr. Gloria is a sought- after keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for conferences and retreats, who discusses mental health and life skills topics by integrating psychology and spiritual principles for women and men. Dr. Gloria has appeared as a frequent guest on CNN and has also appeared on MSNBC, NBC4, and Fox11 news and a variety of radio shows, including Stevie Wonder’s KJLH. Dr. Gloria has authored several books, such as “Too Broken to Be Fixed? A Spiritual Guide to Inner Healing,” “The Things That Make Men Cry,” “Keeping it Real! 7 Steps Towards a Healthier You”, to name a few, and she recently wrote and published two eBooks, entitled “Unleash the Secret Weapons to Your Success,” and “COVID-19 Maintaining Positive Emotions During Tough Times”.
