About Giving F.O.R.W.A.R.D. (For Our Rights, Wellness, Advocacy, Resources & Descendants)

JOIN THE COLLECTIVE
Since 1994, CABWHP has played a vital role in addressing health disparities, promoting wellness and uplifting the health and wellness of Black women, girls, families and communities. To kick off the celebration of our 30th anniversary, we invite you to join us in the fight for equity, justice and our community's well-being by becoming a member of The Giving F.O.R.W.A.R.D. (For Our Rights, Wellness, Advocacy, Resources and Descendants) Collective.

California Black Women’s Health Project is honoring our past, present, and future and beginning the celebration of our 30 year anniversary through The Giving F.O.R.W.A.R.D Collective. Since 1994, California Black Women’s Health Project has been the only 501(c)(3) non-profit organization solely dedicated to improving the health of California's Black women and girls through advocacy, education, policy, and outreach. We are committed to advocating for policies and practices that promote and improve the physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being of the 1.2 million Black women and girls in California.

It is no secret that gross disparities in funding for Black women-led, organizations remain our most significant challenge. Inequities in philanthropic giving, and private, and public support leave organizations like CABWHP in a constant state of addressing significantly greater needs and requests for services from our communities relative to the availability of resources to support those needs and requests.

We are required to do considerably more with less. With your help we can support the health & wellness of Black women, girls, families & communities.

The Giving F.O.R.W.A.R.D. Collective is an opportunity for our supporters to make a continuous and intentional impact on the viability and sustainability of our organization.
As we continue climbing out from the pain and loss of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are cognizant of the present needs of our community as we work to rebuild and recover from all that was revealed about ourselves, our communities, our systems, and the status of our nation.

There is a lot of work to do, and we are calling on our village to help us get it done.
