OUR HEALTH

Black Women and Our Health

Black women in California represent a small portion of the population (approximately 6%). While we make up very little of the state's population, we are often over-represented in many poor health outcomes. The California Black Women's Health Project aims to empower women to become active participants in improving their health status. We believe women can make more informed decisions about their health and the health of their families when they have the right tools and information. CABWHP continues to serve as a leading resource for data and other information impacting the health and wellness of Black women in California.
DONATE
The California Black Women's Health Project is the only statewide, non-profit organization that is solely committed to improving the health of California's 1.2 million Black women and girls through advocacy, education, outreach and policy.
