The theme for this year’s event is "Rooted in Care & Truth: Nurturing Black Women’s Wellness." This theme is deeply grounded in the timeless wisdom of Anna Julia Cooper, a pioneering educator, activist and writer, whose work has inspired generations of Black women to claim their power, truth and wellness. We recognize Anna Julie Cooper as this year's Legacy Leader.

Cooper’s legacy is a foundation for our celebration, reminding us that Black women’s wellness—mental, physical and spiritual—is essential for both individual and collective flourishing.
