MONDAY, DECEMBER 2ND
"IT'S OKAY TO ASK FOR HELP"

Welcome to Day Two of the "12 Days of Wellness" campaign!

Picture
In honor of California Black Women’s Health Project’s 30th anniversary, today we're reminding you through  this empowering campaign that: "It's okay to ask for help." Today, we highlight the power of sisterhood, self-care and mental wellness, and encourage you to build a supportive community around you. Get ready to take action and prioritize your well-being with today’s activities—because, community, you deserve to thrive!
Today's Activities:
1. "Ask for What You Need to Thrive" A Guide for Black Women, Girls, Families and Communities
This guide is designed to support Black women, girls, families and communities in their journey toward self-care, mental wellness and building supportive networks. It’s time to prioritize your health and well-being—remember, it's okay to ask for help.

2. Help Us Close the Gap: Donate to Address Health Disparities
Community, we're asking for your help because we can't do this work without you! Your donation today helps address critical health disparities within the Black community, ensuring access to health resources and wellness programs for Black women, girls and families. Make a donation or start a fundraising team to help create lasting change and promote better health outcomes. Throughout the campaign, there will be exciting giveaways, exclusive offers and special opportunities for those who actively fundraise. Some of the items we'll be giving away include LA Auto Show tickets, Geffen Playhouse theater tickets and Bill Picket Rodeo tickets. 4. Access and Share Mental Health Resources

Accessing mental health resources is a powerful step in taking care of your emotional and psychological well-being. Whether you're seeking therapy, support groups or crisis intervention, there are a variety of services available to help you navigate challenges. Sharing mental health resources within your community can break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage others to seek the support they need. By openly discussing and sharing resources, we foster a culture of mutual support, where asking for help becomes a powerful tool for healing and growth. Don't hesitate to reach out—support is available, and taking that step can lead to positive change for yourself and your community.
