In honor of California Black Women’s Health Project’s 30th anniversary, today we're reminding you, through this empowering campaign, to: "Nurture & protect your spirit." Today, we highlight the power of tending to our own spirits and well-being. Remember, mental health and spiritual and overall well-being are deeply connected.
Today's Activities:

Today we’ve partnered with Lalah Delia, author of Vibrate Higher Daily, to provide you with spiritual guidance, resources and more! We’ve also shared spiritual hygiene tips that we hope empower you to protect your energy and cultivate inner peace, balance and healing! Our community can access this offering for free below. Today is Giving Tuesday a global movement that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity! As Black-focused organizations gear up for the road ahead, your support is critical in continuing to address health disparities within the Black community. Consider making a donation today to support us in our work to advance the health and well-being of Black women, girls and families! Make a donation or start a fundraising team to help create lasting change and promote better health outcomes. 5. Register for a workshop with hosting in partnership with Ed. Opal on December 4th, Day Four of the "12 Days of Wellness" campaign!
Join us on Wednesday, December 4th, for a transformative virtual workshop that brings the fourth commandment of mental health—"Know Your Limits; Set Healthy Boundaries"—to life. In partnership with Ed. Opal, a trailblazing organization founded by Khayla McCoy to close gender and racial wealth gaps, this session centers on culturally relevant personal finance education tailored specifically for Black women.
Join us for a virtual Sister Circle Session to learn more about the upcoming Los Angeles and Inland Empire SMM-ATP cohorts on Thursday, December 19th from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Register here.

Lavender and chamomile both have properties that calm the nervous system. You are better able to listen to your intuition when your body and mind are calm and out of fight or flight mode.
Recipe
- Lavender and chamomile: you can opt to use dried chamomile and lavender or you can purchase tea bags at your local grocery store or farmers market
- Hot water
- Your favorite mug
- Optional: Honey or sweetener of your choice
