Welcome to Day Six of the "12 Days of Wellness" campaign!
In honor of California Black Women’s Health Project’s 30th anniversary, today we're reminding you, through this empowering campaign, to: "Trust the healing process; it takes time, healing & work." Ups and downs are to be expected throughout the healing journey, but with the right tools and support, you can move forward one step at a time. Everyone heals at their own pace, so we encourage you to show yourself grace, and remember, healing is not linear. Share how you're participating in the campaign and your reflections on social media with the hashtag #12DaysofWellness or include your thoughts in the "12 Days of Wellness" Whatsapp Group Chat or the fundraising community page!
Today's Activities:
1. Get involved with our mental health advocate training program.
As we continue to address systemic challenges like racism, sexism and limited access to mental health resources, the need for dedicated Black women who advocate for change is urgent. If this speaks to you, apply for the Sisters Mentally Mobilized - Advocate Training Program today! This program trains Black women to advocate for mental health in our community and create supportive and safe spaces for Black women. We’re currently accepting applications for the next SMM-ATP Los Angeles and Inland Empire cohorts. Apply today.
And join us for a virtual Sister Circle Session to learn more about the upcoming Los Angeles and Inland Empire SMM-ATP cohorts on Thursday, December 19th from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Register here.

5. Check out the resources we've shared throughout the campaign!
Culturally Relevant Personal Finance Education for Black Women
This week, in partnership with Ed. Opal, a trailblazing organization founded by Khayla McCoy to close gender and racial wealth gaps, we hosted a transformative virtual workshop that brought the fourth commandment of mental health—"Know Your Limits; Set Healthy Boundaries"—to life. The workshop, "Balances & Boundaries," highlighted culturally relevant personal finance education tailored specifically for Black women. We thank the Ed. Opal team for providing our community with impactful resources, including this financial wellness workbook. If you’re interested in learning more about Ed. Opal visit their website.
Spiritual Alchemy Class Playback & Healing Resources
On day three of the "12 Days of Wellness" campaign, we partnered with Lalah Delia, author of Vibrate Higher Daily, to provide you with spiritual guidance and resources to "nurture and protect your spirit," our third commandment of good mental health. Our community can access this offering here. We thank Lalah for sharing these resources with our community. If you’re interested in more of Lalah’s work visit her website or connect with her on Instagram!
