Welcome to Day Eight of the "12 Days of Wellness" campaign!
In honor of California Black Women’s Health Project’s 30th anniversary, today we're reminding you, through this empowering campaign, to: "Research & reach out to mental health resources." For our community, reaching out to mental health resources is crucial in breaking generational cycles of trauma, navigating the unique stressors tied to systemic racism and prioritizing overall well-being. Seeking support contributes to crucial efforts to normalize mental health care and empower individuals to heal and thrive. Accessing resources can improve emotional and psychological health, laying the groundwork for better well-being for individuals and future generations. Share how you're participating in the campaign and your reflections on social media with the hashtag #12DaysofWellness or include your thoughts in the "12 Days of Wellness" Whatsapp Group Chat or the fundraising community page!
Today's Activities:
1. RSVP to join us this Thursday, from 6PM-8PM for Community Circles happening across the state.
The legacy of slavery and systemic racism has profoundly impacted the mental health of Black communities, with effects passed down through generations. We invite you to join an intimate community circle where we’ll explore the ongoing effects of systemic racism, share personal stories and discuss how reparations can address both economic and mental health disparities. We’ll honor our journey, envision healing and take action toward a more just and supportive future.
