California Breast Cancer Research Program - Stakeholder Meetings
Have an idea about what causes breast cancer? Want to hear what we know?
Join Sandra Steingraber (ecologist, author), Julia Brody (Silent Spring Institute), and Susan Matsuko Shinagawa (disparities and breast cancer activist)* and the California Breast Cancer Research Program in a discussion about the environmental causes of breast cancer and why some groups of women are more affected. Share your ideas about other possible causes.

What is the purpose of the stakeholder meetings?
These meetings will give you the opportunity to tell us how to invest $18 million for the Special Research Initiatives. Consider attending one of these meetings to:
- Hear a review of scientific highlights in environmental causes of breast cancer and disparities
- Discuss promising research topics and/or approaches
- Learn about funding opportunities from the Special Research Initiatives
